Eleven years ago, Valeria, my grandmother, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. As this illness comes with dementia, my grandfather Otto slowly had to take over her everyday tasks. For now, Valeria forgets to eat, to walk, to speak, and she needs a lot of caring. Through all these years, Otto was there for her and he still is, showing that he keeps the promise he gave her 58 years ago.
