Frank and Marion Moore fell in love and got married in December of 1963. Together they moved from New York to California before settling in North Carolina. Their home in Raleigh became a hub of activity, laughter, and noise as their family grew and grew. Now seven children and forty years later, Frank and Marion still live in that same home. But the days have gotten quieter. It's up to Marion to carry the conversation. In 2010, Frank was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, a degenerative disorder that attacks the brain's neurons, resulting in loss of memory, thinking and language skills, and behavioral changes.

Frank can no longer remember what he had for lunch or that he even ate lunch. He can't remember all of his grandchildren's names. As his illness progresses, the family must face difficult decisions about the type of care Frank needs.
